I will dominate 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to publicize next month's boxing match.

Former twice world boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers participated in the traditional stare-down, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really happening.
